Scott Electric Company, is considered one of the best Corpus Christi Electrical Contractors in South Texas and wer are concerned about our employees safety as well as our customers safety. All employees are sent to the Contractors Safety Council of the Coastal Bend for a 5 hour basic safety training class. New hires must attend the Scott Electric New Hire Orientation Program. We have worked over 4 MILLION man hours since our last lost time incident! Scott Electric Company has a full time Safety Director and two full time Safety Representatives that continually monitor all our work sites to make sure that we are following all OSHA guidelines to make our worksites a safe place to work. Our safety committee is made up of management and employees that review accidents and incidents to get to the "root" cause of the problem and take the necessary actions to correct the problems. Scott Electric Company's goal is for all employees to go home to their families in the same condition that they came to work in for any given day. Our annual goal is 0 incidents. By using our "trigger card" program our employees fill out trigger cards reporting unsafe acts or conditions and we encourage the employees to have the unsafe act or condition corrected on the spot or call one of our Safety Reprensentatives to analyze the problem and get it corrected as soon as possible. We then have monthly drawings for safety prizes for each of our worksites. Scott Group has a yearly safety incentive program for Journeyman Electricians, Apprentice Electricians, and Air Conditioning Technicians to earn a gift certificate or safety gift for being OSHA recordable free for the year. We feel that Scott Group has the best safety program in South Texas because our employees take safety very serious and participate by filling our JHA(Job Hazard Analysis) sheets to eliminate hazards before they start their job tasks. Safety comes before production at Scott Group which makes production excel in our workmanship. We are OSHA Star Worksite at Valero Bill Greehey Refinery and Valero Three Rivers Refinery. |
